If you’re up for a challenge, join us now

We had our final meeting with Persimmon Homes Ltd today in preparation of the start of the licence to enter. Persimmon Homes Ltd have done an amazing job of tidying up the pumping station and have completed a number of essential repairs. The place is looking better than it has done for years.

The licence to enter the building starts on the 1 February and is a six-month opportunity to conduct a feasibility study to find a sustainable solution to preserving this incredible piece of industrial heritage in perpetuity.

This is not going to be easy, but this is why we do it.

It’s going to be an incredibly challenging six months, that will call upon individuals, the local community and the City of Lichfield as a whole, to come together to find a solution to preserve a site that is not only of significant historic interest, but a site that changed the lives of millions of people.

So, if you’re up for a challenge, then join us now.
