The Hanch Tunnel – digging a little deeper

I very helpful person has given me a plane of the Hanch Tunnel showing its route relative to Lichfield, and the approximate location of some of the access shafts. I recall being told many years back, that a lots of the access shaft were lost or have been built over.

As pumping ceased in 1997, the flow in the tunnel has now reversed, and most likely is full beyond the roof.
