Things may be on the move, at last.

Firstly, in this months copy of Lichfield’s Civic Society New letter is an article they published after I raised the matter with them….

The Committee is keen to see the preservation of this important building in the history of water supplies to the conurbation and our locality. It is encouraging that David Moore is actively trying to progress matters to enable the building to become a publicly accessible heritage asset in Lichfield. The initiative is one which in principle we strongly support.

Secondly I have also received an email from the Architectural Heritage Fund, who have said;

The Staffordshire Historic Buildings Trust have decided to apply for funding from the Architectural Heritage Fund, for a grant to carry out an Options Appraisal on Sandfields Pumping Station.

As always things like this move very slowly, however it shows that there is an interest and a willingness to save this site.
